Financial services firm TMF Group has bolstered its ESG credentials with the appointment of Flavia Micilotta as director, ESG solutions.

Ms Micilotta brings almost 20 years of experience in sustainability, working to incorporate ESG considerations and decision-making into business and financial activities. As member of the high-level expert group on sustainable finance, she has also supported policymakers in defining the basis for the Sustainable Finance Action Plan in 2018.

Ms Micilotta has gathered deep knowledge of the funds industry during her career. For example, in her role as executive director of Eurosif (the pan-European sustainable and responsible investment - SRI - organisation), she worked with several European banks and asset managers to help them streamline their Responsible Investment approach.

In addition, Ms Micilotta has worked with regulators (EFRAG, EIOPA, the European Commission), focusing on ensuring that the industry’s needs and capabilities are properly reflected in polices, and standards are developed around sustainable finance.

Prior to joining TMF Group, she led the sustainability practice at Deloitte in Luxembourg. Before that she was the Ddrector of the Luxembourg Green Exchange.

At TMF Group she will report to Andrew O’Shea, global head of fund services, who said: “We are delighted to welcome Flavia to the team to lead this important area of our business. Her expertise and experience will enable us to evolve our ESG offering and support our client base in this space.”
