June Wong, chief executive, Value Partners
Hong Kong based independent asset management firm, Value Partners, has announced the appointment of June Wong as chief executive with immediate effect.
Ms Wong had joined the firm in October 2021 as President, but will now take on a more direct role in steering the firm’s overall business, corporate strategy and operations.
She brings three decades of finance, actuarial and asset management experience to the post.
Previously Ms Wong was chief executive of Asia ex Japan at State Street Global Advisors. Prior to that she held the positions of vice chairman for Asia Pacific at Columbia Threadneedle, senior managing director at AllianceBernstein, and head of business development at HSBC Asset Management.
In addition to her role at Value Partners, Ms Wong serves on the Advisory Committee of the Securities and Futures Commission of Hong Kong.
She holds a Bachelor degree in Economics from Macquarie University, Australia and is a Fellow of both the Institute of Actuaries of Australia as well as the Actuarial Society of Hong Kong.
