13 financial services firms file for bankruptcy in final months of 2020

The Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) has said 13 firms under its remit filed for bankruptcy in November and December.

This does not appear to be an increase year-on-year. In 2019/20 the FSCS recorded its figures slightly differently making like-for-like comparisons difficult. However, 30 regulated firms failed between November 2019 and January 2020.

The firms which failed in the last two months of 2020 include Fiducia Wealth Solutions, Optimus Wealth Management, Ober Private Clients, and Walker Woodhead Financial Planning.
