ARC data reveals a rocky start to 2021 for private clients

Asset Risk Consultants (ARC) has published its February Private Client Indices (PCI) estimates, showing that on average, most private client investment managers experienced small losses.

The most cautious portfolio band (risk relative to equities of 0 to 40 percent) saw the most marked decreases in February. These portfolios lost an average of 0.6 percent last month, meaning they are down 1 percent in the year to date.

Meanwhile the balanced asset group of portfolios matched their January performance and dropped 0.3 percent. In 2021, these portfolios have lost an average of 0.6 percent.
