Barclays Private Bank chief heads to new role at major pension fund

The former chief executive of Barclays Private Bank, Karen Frank, has taken a new role with the Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan Board.

Ms Frank becomes senior managing director for equities and is based in London. She reports to chief investment officer Ziad Hindo and is expected to start – as her new employer puts it – in “the fall”.

The equities team manages about $47 billion in net assets, with a portfolio including more than 60 private companies, significant investments in public companies, and relationships with more than 30 private equity funds.
