RBC Wealth Management appoints international head

RBC Wealth Management, part of Royal Bank of Canada, has appointed Dave Thomas as head of RBC Wealth Management International (RBC WMI)

He replaces Ashif Ratanshi, who left RBC WMI in December after 18 years.

Based in London, Mr Thomas will lead RBC’s Wealth Management businesses in the UK and the Channel Islands and will continue his role as chief executive of RBC Capital Markets Europe.

He will also remain on the global capital markets operating committee and will join the wealth management and insurance operating committee.
