Brooks Macdonald has appointed Andrew Shepherd as group chief executive, replacing Caroline Connellan who is leaving to head personal wealth at Standard Life Aberdeen (SLA).

The handover process between the pair begins immediately, with Mr Shepherd due to take on his new role officially from July, subject to regulatory approval.
