Answer, both want to get their deals done by October 31st.

Unfortunately, both Boris and Societe Generale, which reportedly put our beloved Kleinwort Hambros up for sale in July, are unlikely to hit their respective timetables.

The whole sorry KH disposal saga appears to have started with a McKinsey-style consulting plan to “improve the capital” of SocGen. Oh, dear.

Surprisingly, it seems the rumoured KH sale process was first kept from the SocGen wealth management executives, with the result that some are certainly not behind the proposed divestment. Good on you, mes amis.
