FCA chair to leave post early

The chair of the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has resigned.

Charles Randell is currently chair of both the FCA and Payment System Regulator (PSR) and will step down in Spring 2022.

Mr Randell was appointed chair in April 2018 and was meant to stay in post for five years. However, he will be leaving early.

His chairmanship has been met with certain challenges.
