FCA gives senior managers more power in bid to become more effective

The FCA has reformed its decision-making process, giving more power to its senior managers.

The aim of this move is to allow the regulator to make faster and more effective decisions for consumers, markets and firms.

More decisions will be taken by the FCA’s senior managers rather than by the Regulatory Decisions Committee (RDC).

The FCA believes the new process will mean decisions to prevent or stop consumer harm are taken more quickly.
