The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has reduced a proposed new fee covering appointed representatives (ARs), a move welcomed by the sector.
The FCA’s regulated fees and levies for 2021/22 has introduced a fee for ARs, however only ‘full’ ARs will pay the £250 initially proposed. ‘Introducer’ ARs will pay £75. This reduces the sector’s overall fee burden by £2.8 million, to £7.2 million.
