FCA urges further tightening of social media promotion rules

The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has called on the government to strengthen legislation protecting consumers form investment harm online.

The FCA’s latest ‘perimeter report’ recommends that duties on internet companies in the Online Safety Bill should extend to paid-for advertising, as well as user-generated content.
