Guernsey to change fund rules to better suit family offices

Guernsey is set to revise the rules of its private investment fund (PIF) regime, making the jurisdiction more attractive for family offices.

The PIF will be expanded with two supplemental models which remove the requirement for manager involvement. The PIF was introduced to the Guernsey funds regime in November 2016, and is used by new and existing fund promoters who have been able to launch more simple and flexible products to private investors.
