High client retention rate protects St James's Place AUM

Client inflows into St James’s Place (SJP) proved resilient through April despite uncertainty created by Covid-19.

Gross inflows for the month were down 13 percent year-on-year to £1.17 billion (April 2019: £1.35 billion), however a high retention meant net inflows were up 1 percent to £810 million.

Both gross and net flows for the four months to 30 April were up year-on-year. Net flows were £3.18 billion, up 6.7 percent on 2019’s £2.98 billion.
