Interest rate hike signals start of 'economic tug of war'

The starting whistle has officially been blown in the “economic tug of war” between the Bank of England and Liz Truss’ government.

In a widely anticipated move, the BoE has raised interest rates by 0.5 basis points to 2.25 percent.
