JP Morgan fined $200m for compliance breaches

The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has fined JP Morgan Securities (JPMS) for "widespread and longstanding" failures by the firm and its employees to maintain and preserve written communications. 

JPMS has acknowledged its conduct violated federal securities laws, and agreed to pay a $125 million penalty and implement improvements to its compliance policies and procedures to settle the matter.
