Insurance and asset management firm M&G has appointed Andrea Rossi as its next chief executive and executive director.

Mr Rossi will be succeeding John Foley, who is retiring after seven years in the role.

Before joining M&G, Mr Rossi was the chief executive of AXA Investment Managers and a member of the group executive committee of AXA Group for six years.

He also held senior roles at AXA’s insurance business across Europe and internationally.
