Newcastle fund firm looks to IFA consolidation game

Newcastle-based fund distribution company Ganita Wealth has launched an investment bond as a means of financing UK wealth management acquisitions.

Ganita, founded by former Goldman Sachs analyst Paul Smith, wants to buy UK IFA and asset management companies. The firm launched in 2008 to manage funds for private clients and is now diversifying into multi-strategy UCITS funds distribution via its fund distribution hub in Cyprus.
