Revenues, profits and client assets surge as HSBC rediscovers WM mojo

Revenues, profits and client assets within the wealth component of HSBC’s Wealth and Personal Banking (WPB) division all rebounded strongly during the first half of 2021 as the world started to recover from the impact of Covid-19.

“Wealth”, which encapsulates investment distribution, life insurance manufacturing and asset management, as well as global private banking (GPB), generated revenues of $4.82 billion during the first half of 2021, according to HSBC’s interim report.<...
