Smith & Williamson oversees sale of SIPP business

A team from Smith & Williamson have overseen the successful sale of beleaguered SIPP business GPC.

Administrators Adam Stephens and Henry Shinners of Smith & Williamson, have arranged for the business to be sold to Hartley Pensions in a deal that concluded this week (12 August).

The sale included the transfer of the SIPPs and small self-administered schemes (“SSASs”) held via GPC’s trustee company, Guardian Pension Trustees.

GPC went into administration in June.

Mr Stephens said he was pleased to conclude the sale.
