Two percent of Asian investors back Western Europe as top-performer for 2019

Just 15 percent of attendees at the Asian Financial Forum (AFF) are optimistic about the global economic outlook in 2019, while 38 percent are neutral and 47 percent are pessimistic.

Thirty-nine percent of attendees at the Hong Kong forum, which attracts more than 3,300 investors, financiers, policymakers and business leaders, said Southeast Asia would offer the best investment returns in 2019, followed closely by China (35 percent).

Just three percent believe it will be Japan and two percent said Western Europe.
