Despite negative headlines, UK GDP grew by 0.5 percent in May 2022 after falling 0.2 percent in April.
This was ahead of expectations, which predicted no growth in May.
The figures were received positively, with wealth mangers saying this could ease concerns that a recession is on the “immediate horizon”.
Paul Craig, portfolio manager at Quilter Investors, noted it will not have too much of an impact on economic policy.
