UK family businesses risk falling behind other countries in their commitment to prioritising sustainability in their strategies, PwC has warned.
According to the accountancy firm’s latest global family business survey, just 33 percent of UK family businesses have developed and communicated a sustainability strategy. This compares will a global average of 37 percent.
Contrastingly, the survey found 79 percent of respondents in mainland China, 78 percent in Japan and 49 percent globally reported “putting sustainability at the heart of everything we do”. In the UK, just 39 percent said this.
