UK investors are split as to whether a wealth tax should be introduced.
A survey of 885 UK investors conducted by Butterfield Mortgages Limited (BML) found 52 percent are against the introduction of a wealth tax in the UK.
For those with investment portfolios worth over £50,000, the figure rises to 60 percent. While 55 percent feel it would dry up overseas investment into Britain.
A third (35 percent) said they would relocate investments to non-UK assets if the tax was brought in.
