French asset manager Axiom Alternative Investments (Axiom) has appointed Tom Conquest to the newly-created role of director of business development in London, where he will be responsible for leading the UK division’s business development and the promotion of its expanding range of products.
Mr Conquest joins Axiom from Merian Global Investors (Merian), where he has worked for the past six years. Most recently, he was an investment sales manager on the UK wholesale team, after initially joining the firm as a broker sales manager in 2014.
Prior to this, he was a member of the trade credit and bonds team at RK Harrison.

Currently, Axiom Alternative Investments is responsible for $1.9 billion of assets under management, and has offices in London and Paris.
