News Team, 11/11/2020

Discretionary fund manager Beaufort Investment (Beaufort) has appointed Richard Warne as a fund manager.

Mr Warne joins Beaufort from Credit Suisse, where he worked for over 19 years.

During his time at the investment banking company, he was head of discretionary portfolio management for London and the Channel Islands, alongside being responsible for flagship third party mandates. The role was both investment and client focused. Prior to Credit Suisse, he spent over three years at Citibank Global Asset Management.

In his new position at Beaufort, Mr Warne will manage the firm’s model portfolios and funds, alongside chief investment officer Shane Balkham and Cormac Nevin. He will have specific responsibilities for equities, property and real assets manager research.

Announcing the appointment, Derrick Dunne, chief executive officer, said: “Having known and worked with Richard previously, it gives me great delight to welcome him aboard at this exciting time of growth for our business. Achieving our clients’ objectives is our number one priority. Richard adds further strength and depth to our skills and experience that will help us achieve this”.

Beaufort Investment is responsible for over £1 billion in funds under management on behalf of private clients, trusts, charities and corporate bodies. The firm offers a series of active, income, enhanced passive and ethical model portfolios, as well as its own unitised funds.
