Chelverton Asset Management today announced the appointment of Henry Botting as assistant fund manager, working alongside James Baker and Edward Booth, co-managers of the MI Chelverton UK Equity Growth Fund.
Mr Botting, who has seven years’ experience in equity research and investment management, joins the small and mid-cap investment management house from institutional stockbroker and investment banking group FinnCap, where he was working in institutional equity sales, providing investment advice and support to a wide range of investors, including asset management firms and hedge funds.
Mr Botting started his career in investment in 2014 with Rathbone Investment Management; he was an assistant fund manager, with responsibility for undertaking equity research and assisting with portfolio management as part of a small team managing AUM of around £1 billion on behalf of trusts, charities and private clients. Following Rathbone, he worked as an equity analyst and assistant fund manager at OLIM.
Baker said, “We are delighted to have secured Henry’s services. His relevant analytical experience helps to deepen our resource. His appointment follows a significant period of growth for the Fund and forms part of our longer-term plan, to invest in the next generation of fund managers at Chelverton”.
