Kames Capital has strengthened its fixed income team by hiring two investment specialists.

Jill Shaw and Thomas Dickson join the Edinburgh based team headed by Adrian Hull, co-head of fixed income at Kames Capital.

Ms Shaw joins the business as a senior investment specialist, and nearly has 25 years financial services experience of which 20 years has been in asset management. Previously she was head of strategic engagement, Asia Pacific at Aberdeen Standard Investments (ASI).

Mr Dickson has nine years asset management experience and joins Kames as an investment specialist, having previously held a similar role at ASI specialising in promoting its fixed income product range. Prior to this he was a wholesale investment technical analyst at SLI.

Ms Shaw and Mr Dickson will be part of Kames four-strong fixed income specialist team, working alongside the fund managers to promote and raise awareness of its fixed income strategies and supporting the sales teams in their efforts.

Mr Hull said: “These two appointments further strengthen our fixed income capabilities as we develop deeper relationships with wholesale and institutional investors. With over 30 years’ experience between them Jill and Thomas will be great additions to our fixed income franchise.”
