Amundi has appointed Alexander Preininger as head of institutional clients coverage.
Mr Preininger joins Amundi from Robeco Institutional Asset Management, where he has worked as head of institutional coverage EMEA since 2019.
The new hire has nearly two decades of experience. Prior to his time at Robeco, he held multiple roles at DWS Groupm where he began his career.
During his seventeen-year stint at the firm, he was head of institutional coverage EMEA between 2016 and 2019. He was global co-head of client solutions from 2012 to 2017, and head of asset and wealth management in Japan from 2014 to 2016. He also worked as global head of overlay management from 2009 to 2012. He was initially hired as a senior portfolio manager in the multi asset portfolio management team in 2002.
Amundi currently manages nearly €1.8 trillion of assets, with 4,800 employees across than 35 countries.
