BMO has announced that its two F&C branded property investment trusts will now be renamed and aligned to its BMO brand after the company received shareholder approval for the name changes at BMO’s AGM on Thursday 30 May 2019.

F&C Commercial Property Trust will now be called BMO Commercial Property Trust, with the accompanying new ticker BCPT.

Meanwhile, BMO Commercial Property Trust, which previously received shareholder approval for its name change in November 2018, is now called BMO Real Estate Investments Limited, with the new ticker BREI.

The new name changes proceed the total rebranding of the F&C Investments platform and savings schemes to BMO in 2018, and the renaming of several other investment trusts managed by BMO last year. The two trusts have been held within BMO’s savings plans and through advisers and wealth managers and the name changes complete the transition of investment trusts to the BMO brand.

None of the name changes affect customer investments, with the objectives of their investments remaining the same.

BMO Commercial Property Trust is managed by Richard Kirby. It is a constituent of the FTSE 250 Index and additionally aims to provide investors with exposure to prime UK commercial property and offer shareholders the potential for capital and income growth.  

BMO Real Estate Investments Limited, managed by Peter Lowe looks to deliver income and capital growth through investment in a diversified UK commercial property portfolio.
