Japan and Singapore have retained their lead on the Henley Passport Index, an annual report that ranks the world’s passports according to the number of destinations their holders can access without a visa.
Untill 2018, the top spot has been held by a European country or by the US. Since then, Asian countries have been firmly established as world leaders when it comes to both global economic activity and global mobility, with Japan coming top three years in a row.
