BDO partners approve merger with rival to create UK's largest private client firm - report

According to a report in The Financial Times, accountancy firm BDO is set to merge with rival firm Moore Stephens.

The merger would create the fifth largest accountancy firm in the UK and is set to go ahead after BDO partners voted to appriove the tie up.

In terms of private client advice, the merger would see the new firm become one of the largest in the UK with data from the 2018 eprivateclient Top Accountancy Firms rankings showing the combined firms would have almost 80 partners, around 300 fee earners and fee income of almost £50 million per annum.
