Michelin-star chef Heston Blumenthal is facing criticism after it has emerged that a company registered in a Caribbean tax haven controls his restaurants.
Miles Dean, managing partner of Milestone International Tax described it as “absurd” that Mr Blumenthal is in question as he sold his stake in restaurants to his father's step-brother, Ronnie Lowenthal in 2006.
"Mr Blumenthal most likely paid tax on any gain realised when he sold, fulfilling his obligations to the taxman,” he said.
