The British Virgin Islands (BVI) has topped pressure group Tax Justice Network’s corporate tax haven index.
Following closely behind, Bermuda and the Cayman Islands took second and third respectively.
While the top three were well-known offshore jurisdictions, the Netherlands and Switzerland took the next two spots.
The other jurisdictions in the top ten were: Luxembourg, Jersey, Singapore, Bahamas and Hong Kong.
According to the index, the ten jurisdictions are responsible for over half (52 percent) of all corporate tax avoidance worldwide.
