Butterfield posts resilient Q3 results despite legal wrangle

Butterfield Bank’s third quarter results show the “value of its business model across economic cycles”, its chief executive have said.

The Bermuda-headquartered bank shook off the impact of rock bottom interest rates and further waves of Covid-19, to produce core net income $40.0 million for Q3, compared to $40.1 million for the previous quarter and $36.5 million for the third quarter of 2020.
