Taxpayers’ attitudes toward paying taxes correlates with their perception of corruption within the system, according to a new study by accountancy bodies the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC).
A survey of 5,900 people across 14 countries – Public Trust in Tax – revealed 67.1 percent trusted professional tax accountants while 64.6 percent trusted lawyers.
