Almost 50 jurisdictions signed a joint statement commiting to an expansion of the automatic exchange of information (AEOI) on tax to include cryptoassets.
The AEOI refers to an international agreement for tax authorities to share tax information with other jurisdictions in order to combat tax evasion.
Published on Friday 10th November, the joint statement, signed by 48 countries, commits to the commencted of tax relevant crypto information exchanges by 2027.
