EY has strengthened its private equity team with the appointments of Neil McFerran and Akif Jawaid.

Mr Jawaid was previously a senior engagement manager at Mckinsey and Company for six years before moving on to Boston Consulting Group as a principal/partner for five years.

Most recently, Mr Jawaid was the global head of private equity at KPMG UK for three years.

Mr Jawaid's new role will be to head the newly formed EY-Parthenon private equity UK team.
