The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) is investigating 165 coronavirus-related scams since the pandemic began.
The data, obtained under the Freedom of Information Act by the Parliament Street think tank’s cyber research team, showed how much financial services organisations and banks have been targeted by financial criminals in recent months.
The types of scams that have been circulated include email, phone calls, text messages, letters, and social media.
