Frank Hirth’s trust and estate tax team will be running two tax introductory seminars in Jersey on 23 May 2019 and in Guernsey on 27 June 2019
The seminars will focus on the subject of trustee managers with US connected clients and therefore be well suited to trust professionals who need a better understanding of US tax considerations for the structures they deal with.
Areas to be covered at the seminar will include:
- Identifying a US person for federal tax purposes
- US classification of trusts for income tax purposes
- Tax and reporting implications for US settlors/beneficiaries
