'Genius' banker loses Court of Appeal divorce battle

A multi-millionaire banker who claimed to be a genius has lost the latest round in his £150 million divorce battle after the Court of Appeal ruled that his ex wife should receive half his fortune.

Randy Work – who made his fortune after making a US private equity firm £7 billion in Japan – had offered his ex wife Mandy Gray no more than 39 percent of their wealth as he had “made a special contribution” to the amassing of the couple’s fortune, a claim rejected by Mr Justice Holman in a March 2015 High Court ruling.
