Those using Tax-Free Childcare accounts to pay for childcare are benefitting from a government top-up worth up to £500 every three months, HMRC has claimed.
However, the tax authority warned that thousands of families are still missing out.
Almost 248,000 families across the UK used tax-free childcare in December 2020, an increase of almost 43,000 families from December 201. They received a share of more than £25 million in top-up payments.
