Hedge fund manager's ex-wife wins record £337m settlement

Jamie Cooper-Hohn, the former American wife of London financier Sir Chris Hohn, has been awarded more than £337 million in what legal experts believe is the biggest divorce settlement seen in an English court.

The claim by Sir Chris, founder of hedge fund,  the Children’s Investment Fund Management UK, that Ms Cooper-Hohn only deserved a quarter of their £890 million fortune was dismissed by the judge in a private hearing, in a ruling that may reinforce  the UK’s reputation as the world’s divorce capital.
