HMRC to revoke Moscow Stock Exchange's recognised status

HMRC has said it plans to revoke the Moscow Stock Exchange’s (MOEX) status as a recognised stock exchange.

This means investors will not be able to access certain UK tax benefits when trading securities on MOEX.

Existing investments will remain protected.

This move follows the sanctions the UK government has placed upon Russia as a result of the country’s illegal invasion of Ukraine.
