IHT receipts jump by £400 million

Inheritance Tax (IHT) receipts increased to £5.2 billion in the eight months from April 2023 to November 2023, the latest figures from HMRC have revealed. 

This represents a £400 million increase from the same period in the previous year, and continues the upwards trend over the last decade.
