The implications of Guernsey’s new lasting powers of attorney for international clients

The Lasting Powers of Attorney Ordinance is expected to come into force in Guernsey for the first time on 1 April 2022. The law will mean that Guernsey residents can create a lasting power of attorney (LPA) to appoint someone they trust (the Attorney) in advance of any loss of capacity, to deal with their affairs.
