Isle of Man’s income tax receipts increase by 6.5 percent

The Isle of Man’s income tax receipts have increased by £14.5 million (6.5 percent) to £238 million in the financial year ended 31 March 2019.

The unaudited accounts, known as the Light Blue Book, have been published and will be presented in front of the July sitting of Tynwald, the island’s parliament.

The accounts revealed that the government had an overall revenue surplus of £30.8 million.

This in part was due to income being significantly higher than expected. Total income stood at £1,066 million, a £31.1 million improvement on the previous year an £20.5 million higher than predicted.
