Jersey law firm Baker & Partners has been given on-going approval by the Bar Standards Board to offer a pupillage each year. It is the first offshore practice to offer the course which leads to a practising certificate as an English Barrister.

Baker & Partners’ first pupillage (the final practical stage of training to become a barrister) has been successfully completed by the firm’s Advocate Charlie Sorensen. With its on-going approval from the Bar Standards Board, Baker & Partners will be able to offer a pupillage each year going forward, with the next one to be offered in 2017, according to the firm.
