The Government of Jersey has welcomed comments made last week (02/02/2017) by the UK Secretary of State for exiting the EU when presenting a White Paper to UK MPs in Westminster. The report set out the UK Government’s objectives for their new relationship with the European Union after UK withdrawal. 

When presenting the White Paper David Davis MP commented that the UK Government will continue to respect the constitutional position of the Crown Dependencies, and will be making sure that the Crown Dependencies have as much market access as possible.
