Lasting Power of Attorney registration changes come into force in January

There are now just over two weeks left to register older lasting power of attorney (LPA) forms, the Office of Public Guardians has warned as part of important changes to LPA forms and the LPA digital service in the new year.

On 1 July 2015, the OPG introduced simpler and clearer lasting power of attorney forms for both property and financial affairs LPAs and health and welfare LPAs with the OPG accepting both the old and new versions of LPA forms since then to help make the transition easier.
